Have finally turned to Microsoft for help but I am not optimistic. So we will more than likely use the Adobe products. It is so frustrating because when it worked we really loved it. There has got to be something that Cyberlink does not like with the upgrades. It is a shame and for our small business it is costly. And by-the-way tech support really expects you to know a lot about software and programming.

Photo editing software is a tool of my trade, every bit as much as my cameras and lenses. I can’t believe how many people I hear saying that they use a particular brand of camera and say that it is the best. Of course that’s not true, the brand of camera has nothing to do with making great photographs. And that same analogy is true for software. I have at least a dozen different editing apps on my workstation and each of them serves a unique and individual function. In fact for most tasks I will use at least two or three of the apps while working on a single photograph.

The general look and feel hasn’t changed that much though, and I don’t think the differences are that significant. One thing I noticed immediately however is that it does seem to load and run faster than my previous version. Installation was effortless, the entire process took about thirty seconds. Whenever you see comments about trouble with software installing it almost always has more to do with the user’s computer than the software itself. I could spend an hour discussing what this app can do, it has a lot of capabilities you don’t find in the two most popular photo editing apps, but of course it lacks a lot of their capabilities too.
